You just said the same thing in two different ways and they were both right.

A cull is the same thing as a management buck. Management buck is the politically correct way of saying cull buck. Somehow these d@mn tv hunters have added all the pc crap to all aspects of hunting and that term is just another casualty. Like there is something wrong with culling the herd.

A cull buck is any buck that you shoot to remove from the herd thats not a trophy.

And before anyone says its to remove mouths form the herd for better herd health blah blah blah...... I dont see them culling thier trophies.

Im all for trophy management it benefits whitetail deer in all ways but dont sugar coat it.
