The dove in my area vanished Got food [sunflowers] water and trees . Got me some what puzzled

It's so hot the weaker dives are falling from the sky and are nothing but ash by the time they hit the ground..

From what I've seen and heard, there are quite a few dove in the Wichita Falls area right now. If we don't get some rain though, I don't think they'll have any reason to stay here. Hard to live off of rocks and no water. Only time will tell if they'll be here in 22 more days.

I'm working in san angelo right now and have been driving by alot of fields and have not seen many birds.

I have a field outside of Miles, which is about 15 miles from San Angelo. Whitewing numbers are unreal. It has irrigated milo, sunflowers, wheat and water. It should be fast action.

Do not come to West Texas. We have no water, no feed, NO standing crops of any kind. I do not know what birds that migrate through will do, honestly, there is NOTHING here.

I wonder if this drought would change their migration pattern/route? However, how else are they going to get to south Texas and Mexico?

they still stop before they get to mexico. Our job market is still better and they are scared of getting shot at the border
