I will be heading into my third season with a regular Z7. Can't imagine anything shooting any better than my "old" trusty Z7. I am not sure what the "extreme" part gets you, but I am sure it is a great bow.

lol... Tactical is pretty sweet but a little out of my price range.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am really leaning toward picking this one up.

I may or may not get one depending on what you've got now. I've got a Z7 and it's 30" ATA, extreme is 28". Not worth the difference in price IMO to sell one the Z7 to get the Extreme, but to each his own.

I think the Extreme could be really useful to someone who hunts out of pop up blinds. Those tight quarters can be tough manuvering a bow around in.

I mostly hunt out of trees and when I do hunt out of a ground blind I manage. Still, that would be the time when I would appreciate the smaller bow.

I bought one about 6 weeks ago and I can honestly say it's a great bow. It really shoots well and if I can shoot it this good anyone can.

I got one, I think I will be shooting it for a long time, I freakin love it!! it is sooo smooth and quite, I can't say a bad thing about it, I am very pleased with it, as far as the price, well I think ALL bows are over priced, but I would pay for this one again if anything happened to it.. Go shoot one and see what you think, you need to get whatever you fits you, and for me it's the Z7xtreme, hand's down.

I admit I'm a Mathews HOMER but I did shoot several other brands before I bought this one. It's by far the easiest bow I've ever tuned and sighted in at 30 and under and I'm not that good of a shot.
Try several brands and see what you think.
I agreer with Thundervee they are expensive and overpriced just like every other bow on the market.

I shoot a PSE Bowmadness XS its a really good bow for the price i spent a 1000 getting it fully rigged out....my brother on the other hand just bought the Z7 extreme a couple of months ago i shot it and to me its so much heavier but alot more accurate than mine esp. at 50 yrds he can shot a 3 inch group at 50 yrds and im doing good to hit the target lol....but the price i paid compare to what he paid which was about 1000 more i think i am im just going to stick with mine!! it does the job!

I hate that dam bow.

I was ready to upgrade and shot several bows. Then I went a head and shot the Z7extreme. Crap!

I am now in a holding off to get the Z7 extreme.

I have a Switchback XT and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I have the Z7 Extreme Tactical and absolutely love it, and yes, I shot all the others several times before going with the bow that felt best when shooting.

Shot my buddy's yesterday. Shot nice and was quiet, but compared to my Elite Pulse, it seemed to have a very shallow valley and wanted to creep forward out of the valley before you're ready.
