I have to get a new pair of waders for this season and I've been looking at the drake mst and Lst waders. My question is......does any of y'all own a set of these and how do you like them?

Mine seperated at the boot, the strap only lasted a month, leaked in the crotch. I had horrible luck with mine. Now I buy cheap waders because I wear them out fast. Thats my $.02, all the reviews I have read have also had negative things to say about them.

Drake makes great stuff...but can be expensive. I've never used their waders though. My best two pairs of waders I've bought were Cabelas breathables...dry plus or whatever they call them. Still have both pairs althought the first has needed a few patch jobs.

I hunt up north on the river in some nasty stuff so breathable waders are out! I have some of the cabelas 5mm and have loved them but the straps are wore out and they have more aquaseal than i care to admit on them! I like the macks neo waders but i was thinking about trying something new.

I second the Macks...I'm TOUGH on my waders and they have held up through some pretty nasty stuff...

My bud Toby has a pair and was limited on how deep he could wade out because the sides of the waders are damn near hip high, which lets a lot of water in when you least expect it.I also have not heard good things bout'em but I respect the other Drake gear.

my buddy has a pair also. they are awesome if you want hip waders. other than that be prepared for a refreshing blast of chilly water in your crotch because water will spill over without you knowing it. had to take him back to the boat ramp a few times during the real cold stuff last year.... my columbias are the bomb.

The Macks run true to size....I'm I "big guy" 6'4 275 and bought the regular size in my boot size and I have room to layer and everything.

I have a pair of game winners I bought from academy and word is that drake and game winner's waders are made in the same factory. I haven't had a problem out of mine yet

I wear a size 11 in redwings and bought my Macks Grand Prairies in a size 11 and they fit great. Room for a thinker sock but also fit fine with a "everyday" sock. Hunted some cold mornings last season and never needed a heavy sock with them, very warm waders.

From what i have seen from clients and other friends that are guides they have been great. I have other Drake gear but not their waders as they didnt make an early season set that would fit me, 6'3" and 225 lbs. I ordered them but had to send back. They told me they were working on making a big and tall. Now if you want neoprene that is a different story but i would MUCH rather layer clothes under my waders than wear neoprene waders.
So with all that being said I ordered a pair from Macks and they fit great with enough room to layer underneath. Plus they are tougher than nails.
