Thinking about trying out som 2 blade fixed BHs. I heard they are real hard to tune though. What are your experiences?

I tried the Steel Force 2 blade. That is the only one I have ever tried and I did not like them much. I did not like the way they shot.

WHOA..!

Hold on there fellas..

Fixed 2 blade broadheads will fly every bit as well as any other blade configuration.. Its important for ANY broadhead to spin perfectly true for good arrow flight. If the heads you tried "dipped" or wobbled.. I would have to blame that.. not the number of blades, etc.

As for performance on game.. My personaly experince has been outstanding. I still use Zwicky Delta 2 blade heads with my traditional equipment, as I have for 30 years. My modern setup is a Hoyt Razortec, shooting Carbon Express Maxima 350's at 70lbs. My broadhead of choice is the G5 B52 125 grain.. 2 BLADE. I get absolutely perfect arrow flight.

There ARE benefits to using fixed blade, cut on contact, 2 blade heads. I choose to use only the most rock solid heads available, as I will hunt game of every size, including deer, elk, bear, caribou, and moose. Penetration and toughness are key features for me. Sure, G5 makes a great 3 blade head, but it sure is a lot easier to sharpen a 2 blade head!

I have nothing against using multi-blade heads on deer size game.. But if you show up in elk camp with any sort of mechanical, or replaceable blade broadhead, your guide will give you a dirty look!

Whack em and Stack em.. As Ted Nugent likes to say!..

I just had to get in on this. Im 75 years old and have bow hunted since school days. I have killed about 137 whitetail with the bow.I lived in Alabama for many years and was allowed 1 deer a day while bow hunting! My broadhead of choose is the Bear razor head!!!!! Practice with it, sharpen and go kill something.
