Academy in CC is having a pretty good sale on dove loads right now. A case of federal game loads $54

I usually end up getting the Winchester 1 oz or 1-1/8 oz 8 shots at Academy, I think there is about a $15 difference per case between the two loads. I also like to shoot the Remington 1-1/8 oz heavy dove loads but they seem to be more expensive these days when they have them.

For a while now Winchester has had a mail in rebate of $2/box for their AA target shells. Remington has the same for Nitro 27 and STS target shells. Academy sells these for $7.69/box, after rebate that is $5.69/box. That's cheaper than a lot of the lower grade shells and the Remington Heavy Dove Loads. If a better deal doesnt come up before Sept. 1st, that's what I'll be buying. Oh, and note that the rebates are limited to $100/household, so that's 50 boxes of each.

Oh, and note that the remington rebate does not appear to cover the Remington Nitro Nitro Sporting Clays Shells.

Wait until right before season starts...Academy will drop their price on the super X loads...$39.99 a case.

Still have a case of those from last year & hope Academy will put them Remington Heavy dove loads on sale also in the coming weeks !

ndhunter, if you bought them within the last 10 days, Academy should honor the new price. Did it right after Christmas with a coat when they had them for 30% off.

that is good to know, that means my next case should be $30! got the wife return some shoes that I bought on same trip hope she still has the receipt

They might even drop lower, last time I loaded up, 2 years ago, they went to $3.99, then down to $3.86 or something, but yeah, now is the time to load up. I just worry about buying too much and they out law lead shot, heck I was worried about shooting all the last lot I bought.

Sales ad today said 223 shells 3.99 for steel cased monarchs and mojo dove for 29.99

The 223 is definitly accurate, I saw that Friday...don't know about the dove though..and I didn't see $3.99 shotgun shells either...i'll have to go look again on my way home today.

That flyer says after rebate, AA shells are $5.48!!!
