I have a friend that Linexed (same thing) the bottom rocker panels all the way around his truck. It looks cool, has been on there several years now, and is easier to clean and keep clean. Tar is not an issue for sure (black linex on white truck).
As for the whole thing...get something besides black, it would be HOT.

I wouldn't. I have a 2005 Dodge 2500 and a 2005 PUG (similar to the Mule) that I had Rhino lined and it has not held up to ranch use. But a look at the bed on both of these vehicles will tell you it doesn't hold up. The PUG is a mess.
The coat on both these vehicles was applied by licensed dealers. When showed the results, they shrug their shoulders and say I'm abusing it. BS!
It might hold up if you pamper a city truck with occasional trips to the lease but it won't hold up to continuous use. It does absorb heat and chemicals and fades in the sun. This year I bought a second utility vehicle, the big 4-place Mule and decided not to do a thing to it as I think the coating is a waste of money when you get three years down the road. Sure it looks good when it is first applied, but if it lets go you have a mess on your hands.
Two vehicles ago, I bought a generic coating from JC Whitney and applied it to the bed of a truck. It held up the best of any coating I've applied or have had applied to a vehicle.

Maybe the Linex does better, my friend is a farmer/rancher and he's driven that truck to heck and back numerous times..

I know of one guy who had a cab and a half Dodge done for around $2500. It looked good and he really likes it . He hunts South Tex. in it all the time .

I have a 1980 CJ5 that I did using speedliner in 2004, and theres only one or two spots that have chipped away. On corners and on a rivet/bolt head, spots that take alot of hits.
I did my grandpas suburban with speedliner and he used it on his ranch, and hasnt had any problems that I know of.
I would say do it, some shops dont do as good of job as they could, and thats why some have problems. But I would say most people are satisfied with some type of bedliner.

How much weight would it add if you did a whole vehicle?
