I recently bought a extrema 2. Couple questions.1st
I took off the magazine tube cap and took the spring out to check for a plug. And the metal piece on the end where the shells go came out. It looks like a metal coke cap with a small hole bored thru. Does it go in with the flat surface towards the shells or does it go the other way with the recessed side towards the shell where it the top about 3/4" of the shell will slide up into it.?
2nd.
I load the tube thru the bottom, leaving the chamber empty. I then [censored] the slide but cannot get it to bring a round out of the tube and up into the chamber. If I hit the black button on the right side below the action it will release all the rounds and I can push the others back into the tube by sticking my fingers down in there. It'll then load the one I didn't shove back into the tube. I know the gun is fine I'm just a autoloader newbie.
Thanks in advance for the help guys.

That is a mag cut off. You can load a shell in the chamber and then put two the in mag...if you just remove the one in the chamber it won't drop the next shell without pushing the small little button/switch at the back of the shell carrier (thing that lifts the shell up so the bolt will push it into the chamber) it won't load the two in the mag.

Beautiful thing...I bet 99% of the time my gun has 2 shells in the mag all of duck season. When I am done and ready to put it in the case I'll pull the shell from the chamber but leave the two in the mag.

I hope that solved #2 for you.

So after you fire thr clambered shell, you will have to hit the button to get it to drop another shell? These autoloader are a tad more sophisticated than the good ole pumps. I thought once shell ejected it would grab another?

After the shell in the chamber is fired it will automatically spit another shell and grab it.

I agree with FD...if you pull the trigger it will load shells until there isn't any to load and lock the bolt back.

Did you find the little button I was talking about? If not I can take a picture of it.
