Anyone ever smoke a log of baloney? Heard it was pretty good and I'm gonna try it this weekend.

They say cut a hole long ways through the center of the log and fill it full of BBQ sause and just smoke it for a while. Supposed to be pretty dang good.

East of the Mississippi, it is a delicacy. Had it many times while living in Tennessee. After, you pull it off the smoker, cut a portion off and start cubing it. Take cubes and put it in a crock pot and fill about half full with your favorite bar-b-que sauce...vinegar based it preferred over there. Turn on and simmer for a couple of hours. Guaranteed to enjoy!

It's a delicacy in Oklahoma as well. Love a bolo sandwich!

For me, a fried baloney sammitch is a standard for lunch at hunting camp. It will have to take a lot of convincing to me that there was ever a better sandwich. I always make an extra to put in hunting vest for that mid afternoon snack. Dang, I have made myself hungry. I think I will go fix one up now. banana

Cut both ends off so it will stand on one end, core out center with long handle spoon but not all the way thru
stuff with chopped jalapenos and grated chedder cheese put one end back on with toothpicks stand on end smoke till cheese bubbles out, will look like a big candle slice and eat

If I'm not hunting, I'm hunting something to hunt.
