Announcement: BBQ LOcation Changed... Either at my barn or at J's barn down the road from me!!!!

I know many of you have hunted with us in the past, and will get this in an email or letter. I also wanted to post it here too.

I am also honoring the $130 early bird price ($20 off) for new members from the THF too! The waterfowl spots will go fast so move quickly!!!!(Waterfowl spots are gone!)

Hickory Creek Hunting Company, the hunting side of Richardson's Gun Shop/Rguns.com has openings on our dove and duck main lease this year. Our dove hunting operation has been in operation over 20 years, with many clients with us since the beginning.

We are now accepting renewals from returning members, then will fill remaining spots with new referrals from current members, then we will have a few spots open to new members.

Last year was a great year. Opening weekend was the best few days in the last 20 years, then several waves of birds came through during late Sept and October to make it a wonderful season overall. The heat and lack of rainfall all through the Mid-west will undoubtedly make for fast and furious migratory patterns earlier in the year than many years. This should be fun!

At the request of our waterfowl hunters we have made some changes to the system this year. We are still having open Dove Hunting and fishing for all members during dove seasons for the north zone dates. Early bird prices for this season are $130 per adult hunter, and it goes to our regular $150 for the season after July 27th.

Those wishing to participate in waterfowl and varmint hunting opportunities may do so by joining the elite group of only 50 spots. These will be the only waterfowl hunters allowed during the waterfowl seasons. This will be at only a $50 additional cost to the main lease.

The 50 elite spots for waterfowl and varmint hunting will go fast, and are first come, first served. We have added some new land and retained all from last year.

(At present, all waterfowl spots are spoken for...)

Thanks!
Vernon

We hunted with DJ farms last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. $150.00 for the season and freedom to move from field to field.

Me and some friends hunt on Vernon's place too. Last year was our first hunting there and we had a lot of memorable hunts. It is definitely worth the price!

When would new members know for sure they get a spot? A hip-shot would work, not looking for a hard date. Looking for a spot or 3... Thanks!

Good visting with you guys.

The two basic areas are triangle, Leonard-Bailey-Wolfe City is one, Howe-Van Alstyne-Dorchester is the other....

Obviously not every property is in that, but that's the general areas.

Oddly enough we saw a ton of dove in the heat this morning at even 10 and 1030. Very active all morning since first light to now. Things are looking up!

Added a couple of THF'ers to teh group this year!

Well, all of our duck spots are gone, long gone.

We do still have dove spots available and tour times available this weekend!

Also please note: We have changed our BBQ location, someone else reserved the pavillion at the park, so it's going to be either at my barn or J's barn down the road from me!!!

I still have spots open, and time for showing the place tomorrow morning! Spots will fill up soon and time for us to give good long tours is running thin the next week or two...

Still water in the ponds and lakes, crops made good, lots of feed for dove, seeing good numbers of local birds

Seeing more birds everyday, it's turned up a notch already. Still good water sources and massive amounts of grain on the ground.
