Another vote for Peter Capstick. Death in the Long grass is my fav. X2. That guy has HUGE huevos!!

Anything by Jim Corbett (Man-eaters of Kumaon, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Corbett_%28hunter%29#Books ) is as good as it gets; everything else will feel second best after reading his books.

I am reading a book now titled "The Greatest Hunting Stories Ever Told" and it is VERY good. Short stories by various literary greats and past and current outdoor writers. My son gave me this one fore Christmas and I love it.

There is a book named Legendary Deer Camps. A historical look at deer camps of old, with pictures. It is fascinating.

These all sound good. I wished i'd had the attention span to sit down and read a good book.I somehow loose interest and and can't be still long enough to get into them without pictures.

I have a new favorite hunting book. Jack O'Connor's Big Game Hunts. It was a collection of his stories on big game that he wrote for Outdoor Life. Book was published in 1963 and I bought it off eBay. I had previously only read his books on guns, but he can tell a good hunting story for sure.
