They are great guns. Especially for getting familiarity with an AR platform without having to spend so much on ammo.

I've had one since they first came out and love the thing. It has helped me greatly in training for 3-gun without having to spend tons on ammo. My 15-22 is setup almost exactly like my 3-gun AR is so practice is almost identical to the real thing. With the BattleComp on my AR, the recoil and muzzle jump are almost identical too. All my AR mag pouches work the same as well so you can even get in good practice in changing mags. It's fairly accurate out to 100yds and probably beyond but I'm likely the weak link in my ability to shoot it much farther than that. The weight is a little lighter than the way my AR is set up but they are reasonably close.

It's also been quite reliable with just about any ammo I've run through it though it will gum up faster if shooting the dirtier cheap ammo. It's much easier to clean than a 10-22(I'm not hating on the Ruger) since you can drop the bolt out like an AR.

Mags are pretty inexpensive and it's fun to run through a full mag and realize you only spent about $1 instead of around $15 for a full AR mag. :-/

I can only say good things about the 15-22.
