I live on Lake Palestine, It seems we have more varmints this summer than ever. Probably due to the drought. I need a better set up to dispatch some of these critters. I have been using a 77/22 with a scope and hand held flashlight.
Any suggestions, night vision is not an option $$$$$$.
I have multiple 22's available. 10/22 . winchester single shot bolt, T/C pistol .
thanks

How well flash light work? How about red spot light rifle mounted?

22 should be fine on the animals you listed, if you have a 22 mag that would be even better. As for a light, look into elusive wild life technologies or sniper hawg lights. they have essentially the same gun mounted light packages. i use the 250 from elusive, i use it in green, but have the red or white bulbs i can put it. light works great.

I guess my first post wasn't clear, yeah , 22 works great, I am just looking for a better lighting system.
Is there such thing as a combination of laser and spotlight mounted on the weapon ? or would the spotlight wash out the laser ?

Predators have a hard time picking up red or green light, so it doesn't give away your position as much as white light

Predators have a hard time picking up red or green light, so it doesn't give away your position as much as white light Yep! Q: But why two colors to choose from? A: Peoples eyes are different and readjust to night vision faster or slower depending on the color of light put out. For instance I find that either red or green light work equally well as far as how the critters react to the light, but MY eyes readjust to darkness faster when using green light. Therefore I use green. Chupa

I use the XLR 250 on my gun and is a great tool for Hog or Predator hunting. I wish it was cheaper but excellent product nonetheless.
