I was reading an online article the other day saying that whitetail deer are the most hunted animal in North America. Didn't surprise me. But it got me to thinking, what would be my top ten list?

Here is mine (#1 being the most, #10 being the least). Would love to see what yours is. This could be animals you have hunted or would like to hunt.

This is an interesting question because you can build your list in different ways depending on the criteria you use. A guy who likes to hunt primarily from a stand might build his list very differently than an old die-hard, spot-and-stalk guy like myself.

Truth be told, I would honestly hunt virtually everything listed in this thread, save for the mythical and elusive Texas Hairless Beaver (my wife is half Sicilian and it's tiresome to always sleep with one eye open).

However, if I were to list my FAVORITE things to hunt, by method, the list gets a bit more interesting and provides some real insight into a hunter's personal preferences. My lists (plural) go something like this:

BY SPOT AND STALK:

4. Elk
