Ironically the AR I use the Most my Sig Sauer loves Monarch 55gr Soft Points so Academy it is, although recently since the store near me has been out I have been ordering MFS 55gr Soft Points off-line.

Cheaper than dirt . Bitterroot valley ammo company 55grain vmax. Shoot extremly accurate and haven't had any failure. Also shoot really clean. $160 for 500 is nice

For my AR, Good To Go Ammo. Local guy with great ammo and I can save shipping by picking it up at most any of the local gun shows.

Cheaper then Dirt is where I've bought most of mine. I have bought a few different types but am currently working my way through a 1,000 box from Lake City.
They came a bit dirty but overall looked like decent rounds and I've sworn off all "Bear" and other steel cased ammo after shooting a few 100 of them and seeing just how dirty they shot.

BVAC from Cheaper than Dirt. The 69 grains shoot straight out of my 1:9. How do you like those? I was looking at them, except the 62 grain, for my next purchase. But was concerned with the idea of buying cases of reloads. They are cheaper than the Lake City, and I still forget that I am buying my ammo now, when I go to the range, LOL.

Monarch from Academy and any of the "Bear" ammo from CTD - I have over 2k rounds through my RR AR without failure so I don't see the need to go buy more expensive ammo to shoot targets or pigs with when the cheap stuff is working just fine.

BVAC 64gr bonded in a 1:7 WOA barrel better than the 62gr BVAC by a little at CTD Have you shot anything with it to see how well it holds together ? Reason I ask is I was going to order a case for hunting but have not talked to anybody who had used it. Is it clean Ammunition ?

Reason I ask is I was going to order a case for hunting but have not talked to anybody who had used it. Is it clean Ammunition ? Not bad dirty, but I also shot BEAR blue box 62gr JHP same time, It's dirty, but fairly accurate, Q-2 Nope, I have not shot anything, KC may have before he got rid of his AR.. Somebody called on the 62gr JSP BVAC uses, forgot the answer... http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...est#Post2240348KC THF Trophy Hunter
Registered: 09/29/08 Posts: 9257 Loc: NE TX (76.10.241.47) I have used the 64 gr PSP to kill 4 pigs and it worked very well. 1 was a head shot at 80 yards, DRT. The rest were body shots, all went down where they stood.
From all reports, the 64 gr is the same projectile used in Federal Fusion. I compared the two and from the outside they are identical, same prefail notches, same flat tip. Of course, there's no way to tell without asking the mfg, and they have neither confirmed nor denied for me. http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...2gr#Post2075054

I contacted BVAC about the ammo. The 64gr is the Fusion & the 62gr is their own creation. They said the 64 is good for smaller sized mid-size game(Texas deer/hogs). Check this ammo out. It's the same price & bullet as BVAC but made by Federal. http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/1829.php
