Your guess is too low. Here in LA. I've seen a few that big and have seen several killed that big. A gator that size could be pushing 100. Yours may not be that old, but I bet he is way over 50. That's a huge gator regardless of where it was killed. There is a lake I fish near my home that is owend by the Federal gov't. No hunting is allowed. There are some huge gators there. I've only seen a handful as large as yours in the 35 years I've been fishing this lake, and I've seen thousands of them. This means you killed a true monster. It probably would cost an arm and a leg to get it mounted, but it sure would look cool, that is if you could find a place to put it. Congrats on a great gator.

One other thing. A friend of mine, who is a serious gator hunter, killed one a few years ago that looked to be about the size of yours. His was 13 feet and some change. The LDWF estimated the gators age to be around 95 to 100 years.

You might be able to get some sponsors if you used their gear to take the critter, and maybe some free gear for maybe letting them display it at some of the outdoor shows. It would certainly draw a crowd.
