Just wondering if their is really a big difference going from a 26 versus a 28 inch barrel on a over/under?

If you'll ever use it for ducks or other pass shooting get the 28in. For upland get the 26in. If you think you'll ever sell it get the 28in.

I think it comes down to balance. Each gun is different. I think 28" barrels are preferred on resale.

I prefer a 26 for quail and will always shoot a 28 for ducks.

the other thing to note is over all length of a shotgun. Autos and pumps are longer than dbl barrels (due to the action). Therefore, I like 30" barrels on dbl barrels and 28" barrels on autos. I am 6'8" so a loger barrel fits me better.
