Please send me a pm and let me know. Any information would be much appreciated.

I'm very interested as well! I was gonna post this exact same topic TT. Nice to see someone else was also considering this outfit. I emailed them and they offered for me to come out and check out the fields. They claim none of the same type of issues people were experiencing with DFWHunt and hope they're not affiliated with them in any way. If so, it sounds promising for close to home!

Tom, check your PM. me and about 20 of my buddies have leased from Jim the last 3 seasons. Let me know what specific questions. jim is great guy and is very open with information. The problem is.. birds are good opening weekend, then after that..get's real tough. Also, depends on which field he assigns you on opening day as to how well you do. All in All, Jim is fair and good guy.

JD

I'm thinking about getting on here as well but more as a week day thing after the opener because it is very close to the house so your saying the it gets shot out very fast?

Not shot out fast.. My theory is that there's only so many birds that come through that Flyway. Most of the birds in the Krum area are "city birds" meaning they roost in town and fly out to the fields to feed. Depending on what fronts come through and when will determine how "good" it is. From my experience, Opening day is the best and then it slowly loses steam from maybe 8-10 birds opening day to maybe 3-5 birds as the season progresses. It also helps to hunt with group as the fields that JW has are milo/grain fields and some of them are pretty large ( 200+ acres ), so you camp by a pond and HOPE that they fly by you - if your hunting solo ( which you will during the week ).

Keep in mind.. that I was hunting in a GROUP and almost every time I went there was 5-10 hunters to keep birds stirred up. If you hunt solo, you'll have to figure out the flight patterns for the individual fields in order to be successful. Otherwise, you see birds flying 200 yards away from you and never getting to shoot.

Jim Walling is a stand up guy!!

I have hunted with him 4 of the last 5 years.
3 of those years my group of 3 to 4 guys were limited out
by 8:30am. There were so many birds it was ridiculous!

Jim will take care of you BUT it is still hunting! Sometimes the birds just dont cooperate, but more times than not, Jim will put you on em!
