they seem kind of gimmiky to me. Anyone ever use one of these or had any luck with them?

yes it is. I saw a commercial for them on the outdoor channel the other night. They look cool if they actually work

They work good, deer, varmits, hogs, an took it on a mule deer hunt. Just love them, no problems.

Yeah you have to position them just right so no reflection occurs and you have to adjust sots morning and afternoons. Pain i n the rear it looks like to me. There are some DIY videos on youtube on these things. Great idea but too much of a hasssle

Thanks for the info....I figured there was a catch. I think the sun glaring off them would be a huge issue.

they are made to sit at an angled position so you shouldnt get any glare off them at all if set up right

I have used one on a duck hunt. it seemed to work but we I threw some brush around it.
