I sent this to a guy that thinks hunting is cruel. Mother nature is brutal compared to a hunters bullet!

Narrated by Guy and Mike Eastman, good hunters and good friends. Just spent a week with them back in March.
You mean that kitty wasn't just playing with that deer?
Adios,
Gary

Yeah a little eye opening.

I have seen videos of lions taking down a full size Muley doe but never a mature buck.

Also, hear that bobcats can take down a full size WT. Never seen it. Any of you?

No, but have seen 2 coyotes take turns running a grown deer until he could hardly breath and then take him down.

I have been called in on several "lion kills" in South Texas where a mature doe was killed, partially consumed and covered with brush. We caught the culprit but was just a big bobcat. I have never seen the bobcat jump on the deer but hope to one of these days.
My brother shot a doe with his bow on the home ranch last season. He "spined" her and she let out a distressed bleating sound. A big bobcat that he had not seen was on her in a matter of seconds.
Adios,
Gary

Have a friend in Brady that has has 2 Bobcats take down deer and also a male Blackbuck. The kills were all covered up like a cat would. He had a local trapper come out and catch both Bobcats and both were very large males. One if I remember right was over 40 lbs live weight.

That is cool.

I read somewhere that mountain lions prefer mature bucks because of the way that they hunt. The does are usually in groups making it harder for the lions to sneak up on them. The mature bucks tend to be loners, fewer eyes on the look out.
