You Dallas boys are paying way too much for ribs. As Bill said, HEB has them on sale regularly for 2 bucks, even seen baby backs on sale for a dollar a pound once. It was on then. banana2 food

Don't forget to post pictures of the finished product.

I almost paid $3.99 at Albertsons, but figured I should call around for something better. Man we don’t have a HEB in Dallas, Sams and Costco maybe that low but I never shop at those places…

That's one of the reasons I take the newspaper. They break their weekly ads on Wednesdays, then repeat them a couple of times.

Looking good so far. I am usually too lazy to pull the membrane off. I usually take a knife and kinda score the membrane. That way if you take a bite of it, it isn't too much. Is that oak you're smoking with?

There are youtube videos on how to do it and using a paper towels to grip it etc.., but I get a butter knife and start on the big end, and go about 2 ribs in, on this batch of ribs it took me very little time, it came right off I did not even use a paper towel. To me it makes a big difference, especially getting the rub into the meat and the tenderness of the ribs... That membrane is garbage, it has to go..

I like all potato salad. The thing about store bought is that they don't cook the potatoes enough. I like to cook my potatoes till I can crush them with my hand. I put some chopped olivesw in my last batch. I was great.

Eventually, someone is going to get on here and tell us to take this private. Looks like it's just you and me! I can tell that this is not your first rodeo. Thanks for the entertainment on a slow day. My wife is out of town, and I did mine in a cooking bag, with liquid smmoke. They came out fine, but not with your ambiance.
