Well, we've had some rain in the area, but could use much more! A little green is coming up, with a lot of growth of a flowering plant I am not familiar with! (see photo) It's also time to thin SOME BACON!!!! Lots of hogs, but not to many deer......

That pretty little flowering plant is Horse Nettle. Google it. Kill it!!!!!!!! Highly invasive!! 1 quart Remedy mixed with 25 gallons of water, per acre, will get you started but it may take a couple of years to get it all.

That's because there's no pressure on them. Life is good right now for those piggies it's 76F on a Saturday morning. Plus there's nothing like some good ol corn before you go take a nap all day!

Not that it matters, but I found out from an Botanist that the plant is a Silverleaf Nightshade. It still needs chemical Nuking though....

x2 One very tough plant to kill. Roundup will burn it but not kill it since it has such a deep tap root.

The nightshade is in the solminaceae family, (same as tomatoes) and is poisonous. It's all over out here in Breckenridge as well.

Things will come back & grow back. We drove from Breckenridge to Palo Pinto, on our way to Weatherford, Thursday. It was UGLY up there from that fire. I forgot my camera or I'd taken pics.
