I honestly didn't care to much for it, the trigger was just as crappy as the Kel-Tec PF9 I would think Ruger would have done something in that area. It did not feel good in the hand either, just not what I was expecting.
If I was in the Market for a Single Stack it would be the Walther PPS.

I keep hearing good things about the Taurus 709 slim, thrown in with occasional Taurus sucks. I wish I knew someone who had one.

I shot one and it took some getting use to but it performed fine. The trigger has a lot of take up and the reset is long too. It is what it is a compact 9mm made more for concealment that shooting.

Kahr is releasing a CW9 which is their cheaper version of the PM9. You should be able to find one at a gun show for around $380. I have a P9 and it's a great gun. Very light, thin, and reliable. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the long trigger reset. It's longer than a Glock or XD but you get used to it.

Its alarming how many LC9's have arrived on the used market in such a short time. Maybe many folks are not happy with them?
I looked hard a "slim" but I can't make myself bite on Taurus.

See if you can rent one to try out or maybe someone here on the forum that has one will let you try it out. Only opinion that matters is yours. Maybe you will like the Ruger.

Nope can't rent one. I can burn a gun up in one day and don't want to bicker with the owner. I seem to have trouble with many sub-$500 semi-autos.

Well you could spend more and get a Kahr PM9. Compact, light, and excellent quality. Like I said before, the only thing I don't like is the long trigger reset. I'm used to glocks and xds and the reset is longer on the Kahr. Other than that, love it.

I've been through many Kahrs in several calibers because I want to like the gun. The PM 45 has the best feel. Like you said, "long trigger reset" is the reason I've sold every one of them. I cannot retrain myself to shoot that slow or let my finger go that far foward. If they would make it SRT and add a thumbsafety, The PM 45 would be almost perfect.
I have seen some pictures of the LC9 guiderod wear on the Ruger forum that has absolutely ruled it out as an option for me.
