My brother was tearing down a shed when a skunk ran out from under it. He heard what sounded like baby mice and then found 6 of these lil guys. They are probably to young to make it without momma but I was thinking bout trying to keep them alive. Anybody ever done it? Is it even legal to keep them?

Sir,
Baby skunks and field mice make the most excellent big bass bait. I took some of my largest Bass with them.

they make good pets had several when i was younger living in graham go to pet smart get some supplement milk you will have to feed them often and you will have to use a wet warm washcloth to get them to use the bathroom they will make the same type of pet as a ferrett, will use a litter box like a cat. When they get older you can take to vet get them desented same as they do ferretts

By morning it would probably be too late, they need to be fed every 4 hours or so. Like kittens. Get kitten formula & a little bottle.

I've done it. They are cool and not hard to raise or train but make sure you can find someone that will descent them before you go to the trouble of raising them.

Contact Windfish on TFF. Either her or someone she knows is a Skunk fanatic and can probably help you out.

Caution, Most skunks are carriers of Rabies. Be very careful!

You can get their Scent Spraying glands taken out... Then they make awesome pets... They stomp their feet before fake spraying you when they are angry.

They are basically cats when they are descented. Cats make good pets for some people, not for me, but I can see how seeing that little one would make someone want to keep it. I'd paint it though.

I have had 6 in my life time, they are very good pets. They are just like cats, not much differance. Well maybe a little more temper, but I was pretty hard on mine to mind. Good Luck.
