Still no. I just posted about Hi-Point carbine, which I hear good things about, but my wifey-poo decided to get me a 45 and i hated it. But you know how it goes.... oh I love it dear. thank you so much!!! Awesome!!!
Whatever... don't go with a Hi-Point.

I have a Hi-Point 9mm carbine and love it. I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds through it and not a hick-up yet.

Just curious anyone that's saying no ever use one? I've shot one at the gun range one day it worked perfectly as one should was it ugly, bulky and non hand friendly but it did work. Keep in mind this was 1 magazine worth of shooting and I went back to my 1911's

hi points are excellent starter or truck guns. THEY SHOOT EVERY TIME AND ARE DECENTLY ACCURATE, especially the carbines, what more can you want.. I have plenty of them, buy one and you wont be sorry.

I've got the .40 pistol. I've shot a lot of paper and a couple hogs with it. It's pretty accurate and doesn't jam up. I'm happy with it for what I paid. I'm not sure I'll ever get another one just because there are other guns out there that will do the same thing in a lot smaller package.

BIG- Yes Ugly- Yes Bulky- Yes Accurate- Yes Lifetime warranty- Yes
Mine was very very accurate, my neighbor has the carbine, his is very accurate. Mine never had an issue or FTF, my neighbor says the same thing. I have another friend who was shot with a Hi Point .45, it went bang when the trigger was pulled. (he made a full recovery) If ANYTHING ever happens to it, they will replace, no questions asked.
Would I carry one everyday, NO! Would I chose it over my Sig, NO! Would I choose it over any of my other weapons, NO! Would I buy another, Yes! For the money you can't beat them.

My best friend has a carbine in 9mm. It is a blast to shoot. It is ugly but you can over look that. For the money it is hard to beat. So I say, if you want one, give it a try. It should be a fine starter pistol.

I look at them like the old Sten guns. "Better than no gun at all".
They go bang reliably, hit more or less where you aim them at. They're not particularly high capacity or ergonomic, but they're better than a sharp stick, a rock or your limp #&*)! in your hand at 2am if it comes down to it.
I would not advise one for a first gun unless money was seriously an issue, you can find used Rugers and S&W's for $250-300 that are a hell of a lot better. I nearly snapped up a P95 for $280 the other day. Used and looking it, but reliable.
