Kenny Porter in Brazoria TX. I can get his number for you if you like. He is a long range competition guy, but builds incredible hunting rifles. DOnt be in a hurry if you use him. He has built 2 for me, and done work on several others. He stamps his guns with a P and 3
Those of you who do not stand behind our millitary, please stand in front of it!!!

just looked at the website above. NICE guns, but I'm left wondering... When did everyone start preferring synthetic stocks? Just my preference, but if I'm spending $3-$5k on a rifle, it better have some BEAUTIFUL furniture, not just pretty rubber.

Kampfeld Customs, but don't think he is building currently, Mike Bryant, Mickey Coleman there alot of options, i would call Kampfeld Custom in Michigan and see who recommends since he is not currently building, but would definitely go with Hart or Lilja barrel.

What kind of rifle are we talking about here? If you want a tactical rifle I'd pick G.A.P., Robert Gradous or TacOps. For a sporter rifle it's a toss up, never had a sporter built. For a heavy barrel I have always used Krieger or Bartlein barrels, they are single-point cut-rifled, the button rifling is not precise enough for my standards and gets shot out way too fast.

if you tie a dollar bill to a dollar bill to a hill country rifle and throw it in the lake you will only lose a buck. I bought 1 from them. wouldn't shoot better than 5 inches. they gave me another with the same results. after 4 rifles they told me it is my problem. keep in mind that they would shoot them when I took them down for them to look at. just my $.02

That is horrible if they couldn't make em shoot either! They should have at least took the rifle and gave you your money back

I would say Kampfeld if he is currently building Rifles, on the other hand he is taking other work so you could call him up and see what kind of rifle he would most like to work with and then send it in to be modified how you want it. He does OUTSTANDING WORK!
