Went to the wetlands today to check on our recent planting and install a couple viewing ports with screens in Carol's new blind. She's too short to see over the top of the blind to the south and when the entry door is closed it tends to get warm inside without ventilation. Left open it's just too visible from above. I thought I could solve both issues by cutting out two 8-1/2" X 18" hinged viewing ports in the back side of the blind. They swing up out of the way when wanted open. I made and installed screens for each on the exterior.

As we were there working we noticed a lot of tracks around the blind that looked like a cross between cattle and a VERY big hog. There are NO domestic animals on our property and I sure don't recognize the excrement. Maybe someone here can ID for me.

When we first arrived there my heart sank to see so much of the area now underwater in less than 10 days with not more than 5" of rain combined ... at least at our house five miles South.

Guess maybe I closed the valves too early this year, we've probably lost 20% of what's been planted.

If we don't get more water than this by early Teal it's huntable already ...

You think you have tracks now, wait till your sorghum matures. I had to quit planting it because of them. Good luck!!!!
