this may be old news, but I just found out today when I got my Guns & Ammo mag about Rugers new 1911. I love 1911s and I love all my Ruger firearms, pistols and rifles. Anyone bought or shot one yet?

I do not think its actually on the market yet - it was just released. A few people on various forums have gotten to shoot some pre release models. It does look pretty interesting for the price

I have one I'll sell for $995. NIB with only 300 rounds down the pipe. 100% condition with only normal holster wear and a few scratches here and there. Oh, and one grip is chipped but it's hardly noticeable. The buggered up screw heads take the attention away from the chip....and the crack.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Think I saw on the Ruger forum where they should be available to the distributors in May. So it won't be long.

A guy called the shop this morning looking for one, and I informed him of this and he yelled and screamed at me saying of how I was such a moron and if it was on Ruger's websight with a purchase option they where availible. Funny thing is I was reading there websight when I told him the above

Saw one yesterday. Not overly impressed. Just another 1911 for $699. Lots of stamped parts.
