A good friend of mine drove down to Morgan City last night, got up this morning and met a boat at the dock and bought about 120 to 150 pounds of fresh shrimp. I was able to procure about 15 to 20 pounds of them about 7:00 this afternoon. I need something different to cook besides boiled shrimp, jambalaya, or gumbo recipes. I'd really like to do something special with these since they are fresh...Any Ideas? Three 1 gallon zip lok bags of deheaded shrimp.... Shrimp heads!

We grilled some the other night. Took some sriracha, a bit of oil, crushed garlic, and salt. Marinated for 30 minutes. Grilled for about 4 minutes total.
Of course, I peeled and deveined them first. We were using 16/20s, those shrimp look quite a bit smaller and that would be a lot of work to clean all those. Guess you can clean and not devein.

I can't see video on this particular computer, but I bet chickenpants posted this....
"...shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it." - Bubba in Forest Gump.
My vote is grilled shrimp.
What ever you decide to do... We need pictures of the final product.

Try scampi or Alfredo, with pasta. They're both delicious, and make a complete meal with garlic bread, and a salad.

I don't really use a recipe. I start with olive oil, then throw the shrimp in there, then butter. I make the sauce with chicken stock, wine, lemon juice, tabasco, and garlic. I throw that in there, and then green onions, and parsley.
I put cooked pasta in there at the end.
It takes about 10 minutes.

I usually put a bottle of italian dressing, a can of crushed pineapple, some garlic, and some fresh jalapenos in the blender. Dump that in a gallon bag with shrimp and let it marinade a few hours. Slap em on the grill and they turn out pretty good, and you can always wrap them with bacon.
I also like blackened shrimp, i just dust them with tony chacheres a cook em up in a hot skillet.
