I hunt with a Martin Serengeti recurve...Killed two doe and a few hogs with it. It's quite a game changer once you get bored with your long rifles and even your compound...This is where scent control is a must and your camo pattern actually matter. Fun stuff!

You'll never turn back. I use a Sarrel's recurve. It's a blast, very simple and fun! If you're considering a long bow, I know a custom bowyer in San Marcos that makes some really nice 58" long bows at a very reasonable price. I about to buy one of his myself.

Quite a few. I have a Mamba and a Black Widow. My advise to you is practice, practice, practice.......and during all that practice wear a finger glove or you will get blisters. They are a blast to shoot and hunt with. Good luck and have fun. Remember, they do not have overdraw like a compound. So you can only draw back when you are ready for the shot. Makes it a little easier to get busted on the draw, but it is a fun challenge.

Im pumped about the idea of going into the woods with nothing but a stick, string, quiver and knife and bringin home a deer or pig. i've killed beaucoup deer with a rifle, enjoy rifle hunting but compound hunting dosen't get me as excited as the idea of shooting a recurve. I have just started bowfishing and this is what set the idea in motion, the instict shooting that takes place.
