All we need now is a couple inches of rain, S-L-O-W-L-Y please.

Long day for an old man working by himself. Carol helped a little but she's pretty limited what she can do physically. Started just after 7, finished up right at 4:30. For those who questioned if I could load or unload the trailer by myself, click on image for slideshow ...

Cappy,

It's hard to tell with the water drawn down but did you move it a little to the right of where it was?

Actually, it's slightly to the SW or left in the pic. The 2 surveyors flags were placed by Carol to give me what used to be the line for the front edge of her old blind. The piece of PVC pipe on the right side of the pic is the cover for the jerk cord line and it came in through the bottom front right corner of the old blind.

In this pic you can see both the old pipe and the new one installed through the frame of the new blind.

There were three boxes of moth balls spread on top of the frame soil before the plank floor went on. In fact I got half sick smelling those fumes while assembling the blind despite a nice breeze all morning.

Carol asked at lunch today if anyone had ridiculed HER camo paint jobs inside and out. I told her not yet but I'd be sure to tell her who, if anyone, does. wink

What's to ridicule? You don't need to put MODB on the outside to fool the ducks, besides, I'll bet you brush it in. Paint should be for protecting the wood more than camo.

Looks Great Cappy! You are more handy later in life than half the people I know in their 20's Sir.

In the pic of the back of the blind above, I had just hung the entry door when Carol took that shot. Inadvertently left off the two filler strips that go above and below the door. They were installed and painted in this pic.

Since planting the Egyptian Wheat for tall blind cover around the new blind and in several other areas, the dealer I got it from told me yesterday that he's sold 500 lbs of it since I bought my 50 lbs from him two weeks ago. Seems as though other folks have caught on to the advantages of planting even a small area around your favorite spots. Word travels fast!

That's a sweet looking blind, it actually reminds me alot of a firework stand I built when I was younger. Hopefully the ducks will like it better than my customers did lol.

Very nice job Cappy. Oh, and the Mrs. did a fine job on the camo. Be nice to see the before and after pics this winter.
