 What have you hunted with a .44 magnum?

I'm getting my first ever .44mag this week, and i plan to use it for hog hunting... just wondering what you guys have used yours for.

I have hunted deer and hogs with mine but I have only actually taken deer with it.

Deer and hogs. I never killed anything with it, but my son used it killed a big doe.

Pigs, Snake. Actually the snake just happend to be in the way of where I wanted to go.
NOTE: Every lever 44 I have every shot has shot dramitically different with different ammo. As much as 3 Ft different at 100yrds.
Fortunatly they all love Hornady LEVERevolution 225 gr FTX.
185 gr jhp shot so high I did not have enough adjustment in the rear sight to compensate for it.

yes super red hawk with leupold gilmore red dot killed over a doze deer and lots of hogs over the years longest shot 110 yrds drops them every time

i'll be using LE as my hunting ammo... might try some cast bullets on pigs though

S&W Performance Center with Aimpoint T1 deer and hogs here's one I got at Bill Wilson's place 2 years ago 250g hardcast at 1200FPS

I have much fun with the 44 lever. I shot it so much one day I was bruised as if I had been beat. Rapid fire chasing cans with it gets expensive but it is mucho fun.

Deer, Hog, & Bowling Pins. Bowling pins at 100yds with SW29 8" shooting .44 spec is a blast. Sold the gun - wish I had it back!

Deer, pigs, snakes, whatever pisses me off... I cast and reload so it's as cheap to shoot as anything else. Never had a problem killing even big pigs...

Yeppers. My Ruger Carbine has helped kill lots of deer. Would love a Ruger in bolt and lever but never see them for sale.

You will have fun with the marlin, Dad has a bunch of them in every caliber lever action you could imagine. .44 is fun to shoot, have not hunted with it but you will have no problem if you want to do it.

I am kind of a handgun nut!! I have 6 44s's, S@W 629 6" and 4", S&W 29, 8 3/8", Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2" and 5", Ruger Super Blackhawk 7 1/2" barrel.
I have taken several deer and hogs with the 44 mag. I have taken black bear wth 454 Casull also.
