I hope that show isn't a reflection of what really goes on at a taxidermy shop. I have a feeling some of it is for the cameras, but the quality of the work/professionalism was lacking in my opinion.

I have seen the show. I think its interesting.
I'm wanting to watch this new Hog Wild series that is coming out. That looks to be a bit more interesting.

But that crab the taxidermist built was pretty cool!

Yea the crab was pretty good, but that polar bear didn't look all that great.

Is it just me or does it seem like those folks from TX have no idea what their doing?... I mean really who uses Great Danes and Wolfhounds for hog dogs?

I saw a video on THF a few months back of two Great Danes hunting hogs. They caught and were holding a black boar around 250, I was impressed.

All I can tell you is that these "reality shows" have very little to do with reality. We were approached to do a taxidermy reality show (we declined) and all they were interested in was drama and controversy and making sure a mount is done in less then three days because that's all they were giving time wise. You can't do a mount properly in three days. Any professional taxidermist knows that. Just don't believe any of what you see and take it with a grain of salt.

You have got to be kidding me. This video is aweful. This isn't real hog hunting. The dogs mite as well just eat the shoat. This is what makes hog hunting with dogs look bad. Oh well... everyone has thier opinions.
