...your brass and bullets?

How many of you order from off the internet?
Or do most of you get it locally?

I used to order from Midway USA but looking around for some better prices. For me, getting the stuff I need locally means a 1 hr drive to Cabela's up near Austin. I usually go there to get the powder and primers since there is such big charge for shipping that. Just trying to savea little more money and its getting harder.

I'm lucky one of my best friends has an FFL so getting guns and shooting supplies at a good price is simple. He and most of the small dealers usually make the gun shows and are willing to deal on most of there stuff. I've loaded up on reloading stuff at garage sales and estate sales. Like everything else good deals are where you find them. All shooting supplies have gone up significantly in the last couple of years due to the increase in raw material prices. I'd be looking at face to face purchases on primers and powder so you dont have to pay haz-mat shipping charges. Good Luck!

Bullets & brass had been coming from EBay until they shut that product category down couple months ago. I also had bought & sold some stuff from the free classifieds on 24HourCampfire & Accuratereloading's Classified Forum websites earlier this year, hard to get stuff like my 9.3x62 brass @ $39 a 100 shipped and some bullets came from Graf & Son on line 'cause they got the best selection of euro and hard to find stuff of anybody online - ck out their Starline pistol brass too...and Sportsmans Whse in Lewisville for some 6.5 & 9.3 boolitz & primers. I also bought more than a few bux worth at a going Out of Bidnizz sale in Denison last spring that netted me 2k+ of 6.5, 270 & 30 cal boolitz at 50-75% off retail and 6 lb's of powder at $12-$15 a pound...ya find it where ya find it I guess.

After being out of the market for ammo and such for the past several years, I will be getting back into reloading. I can't believe $30 for a box of .257 rounds...

So its off to refresh my powder and check inventory of bullets and primers...

Hearing that about ebay blows chunks...

TB Look at Graf's website for 257'Bob ammo too. What I really like about Graf's is the pricing includes freight + a $4 Order fee for online CC orders and makes it mo easy for old farts like me that count on fingers & toes sometimes to figger the bill.
If'n you get back in rollin' your own the Nosler blem place would be a good place to know about...just ticks me off though they raised their freight deal to a $13 flat rate and make's it hard sometimes to justify a a bag or two of boolitz...but I DO like it when they run stuff like 30 cal 180 gr PT's on sale at $4 off'n their regular price. Got 'nuff right now but'll prolly buy 500/1k of mixed PT's in 6.5's, 9.3's & 30 cal's sometime next year and call it good for a while till I pull a Yosemite Sam and blow off a bunch of lead.

Wow! Just looked at Graf's 257Rbts ammo with only 4 selections and it is bigtime HIGHER than I remembered from back when I was shooting a M70Fwt 'Bob...Sho' am glad I switched to a 6.5Swede for my soft kicker 'cause Graf's got loaded ammo for me from $12 to $40+ in about 16 selections from Privi's Czech made euro basic SP's to Norma,RWS & Lapua's Hot DANG it bench quality Mo Bettah stuff. Ck them out...they have been good folks to deal with for me.

I get most of my stuf from Midway USA and Midsouth Shooter's Supply and Cabela's. I buy my powder locally at a gun shop. They are about $3 higher but it is still a lot cheaper when you factor in shipping and Haz Mat fees to buy from the mail order places.

Second the vote for Midsouth Shooter's Supply, Midway too. And yeah, buy my powder and primers locally.

I'm going to have to give Sportsman's Warehouse a try. Seems like everyone I talk to likes that place a lot. Supposed to have some competitive prices I hear.

I know about midway and midsouth and think they are pretty high price and have had problems with their shipping before. Used to be great years ago when it was all included in the price. They just couldn't be beat. Now it seems like the best places may be the local Cabela's or Sportsman's Warehouse.

The only thing you need to be aware of with Mid South and Midway USA's shipping is they tack on a handling fee for all orders under $20. Other than that I haven't had any problems with either with shipping.

If you have a local public gun range. They will sometimes sell once fired brass for a much cheaper price than new brass. Also you are help keeping the little guys in business. Every little bit helps.
