Does anyone have or know of someone who has a seasoned dog that can find sheds? I've found one shed off a buck(70 4/8") and desperately want to find the other side. I'm willing to pay for travel and a nice bonus if the shed is found.

Doubletrouble on here uses a dog and has posted pictures of many different sheds. He lives in Iowa though so travel might be expensive for him and a dog!!

Look up some of his posts and I think others with shed dogs have posted on that thread.

I know a guy in Missouri that might take you up on that, but again it will be expensive.

Thanks guys, but as you all stated, the expensive may get way up there. I'm looking for someone within the state, who would travel to central Texas, Llano county to be specific.

I have found matching sheds almost a mile and half apart. Is if LF or HF? Did you see this buck at all (cameras or out of a blind) to have any pattern on him? If I had time I would come and look for free. I have become pretty good and finding certain bucks sheds and sheds in general.

Good luck..... My good dog disappeared off the face of the Earth on Christmas Eve (I am sure my neighbor had a lot to do with that). I am starting a new pup and he has picked up every shed this year @ 5 months he should be hot next year.

I would suggest putting the miles on the boots. Keep us posted!!! Again, good luck!

Maggie- I have put a lot of hours into looking for the other side. I have both sides of his 2.5 and 3.5 year old sheds and want to complete this years set as well. Justin- if I had a picture of the shed, I wouldn't need a dog to help me locate it! Here is a picture of him in late August. I have his left side and am looking for the side with the G-5.

shedantler, I was referring to the side you had. A 70 inch shed is big for that area. High fence? (Not bashing, just curious)

Great picture!

Yes, it's HF. He's a native 4.5 year old buck with no introduced or outside genes. I'll try and get a pic of the shed late tonight and post it. Yes, a 70" side is large for his age and the Hill Country. He scored 125ish at 2.5, 145ish at 3.5 and I had him grossing in the neighborhood of 161 this year. That's just another reason why I'd like to find the shed.

Great looking buck. I found a match to a shed I found about 2 weeks ago today and it was over 1/2 mile from the other side. Wish I had the time I would come and help you find it. I have been very lucky at finding sheds the last 20 yrs or so. I have found over 120 so far this year.
