Depends on what you consider any good!

If your looking for some steals you would be better off checking with some of the local gunshops and pawn shops and hope to get lucky.

As for as just browsing and looking at guns, they'll have a few there plus all the magazines, clips, and other odds and ends parts.

Plenty of Mosins I would suspect, but the deals will be few and far between, at least what I've found in the past.

Now with the price of gas I don't think I'd be driving 2 hours just to check it out!

It's cool for a local just to go check but I wouldn't drive two hours for it. X2 for the pawn shop idea. The fired brass is pretty cheap but that's about it.

Did anybody to go the show on the 26th-27th?

I did, lots of tables, I carried in a Whitworth full stock 7x57 looking for 99's to trade on, had lots of offers but it came back home with me. real friendly folks, lots of tables, I think they advertised 800, I saw only two that were vacant, I would say about 30% were guns. $8.00 to get in $5.00 to park, the parking fee is city of S.A. I will go back and stay longer next time.

i live here in san antonio and stopped going. lately no one really wants to deal, not much of a revolving stock. you can go 3 times straight n pretty much see the same stuff. the only deals would be the people coming in to sell. i wouldn't recommend a 2 hour trip for it.

I went to a new gun show last weekend in the big hall behind the Freeman Coliseum. They are coming back to SA soon, but not as frequently as the Saxet show. Saxet is getting tiresome.

There is occassionally a very small gun show at the Live Oak Civic Ctr. right at the intersection of Pat Booker Rd & 1604. It's something to stay away from. More cut crystal pendants and garage sale stuff than guns the last 2 times I went.

I usually drive to the Saxet shows in Mcallen.. about 45 min. each way. Usually don't find much to buy but usually have a good time. If the NRA guy is there.. get a good deal on the renewal. I am sure the San Antonio show is bigger.
