First time going for hogs, will be shooting slick trick broadheads. Shot placement like deer? Head shots? Will be meat hunting so I will only shoot 100 pound hogs or less.

Shoot broad side and low behind the front leg, or quatering away! No head shot!

That picture is exactly what I've been looking for. It's now the wallpaper on my phone. Thanks.

Well that would cover the vitals. DA! That plate don't bother my bow! You might want to trade that Z7 back in for the DXT!!

You can head shoot small hogs with a bow. Quartered away is the easiest shot on the vitals.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Ive shot a bunch of hogs using slick tricks.... Slightly quartering away and a low heart shot will ruin a hogs day quick. I prefer to use Razorcap broadheads on big hogs. They have a really steep angle on them and will decimate a hog. I shot a 190 lb sow a couple of weeks ago and she might have ran 20 yards with a bloodtrail even my 4 yr old could have followed.

the picture is missing that huge metal plate infront of the heart though....... It wouldnt bother me. My slick trick/Bowtech setup would tear that hog apart.

I've dropped many with an ear shot,,,, shoot low and better if you can get a shot quartering way aiming for the exit between the front legs.
BTW, there is NO shield in front of the heart, the shield is on top. No problem with a bow, it's all about shot placement.
