When driving my parents around our property at the golf course I work at, I saw a huge wallow around a telephone pole. The next day I told my boss and he asked to see the damage. In fear that the hogs would move closer to the course he gave me and the assistant mechanic the go-ahead to set up a trap. After trial and error, tripped trap and no hogs, we finally got one! I figured him in at 230 lbs, but I have been wrong before.

You are pretty dang close...

Did you eat it??

If not, you should find a buying station. That is a $90 hog there!!!

No i didn't eat him. I heard that once those boars become sexually active (their nuts drop) they aren't too good to eat. I don't know the truth behind that i just took their word for it. as for the buying station, sad news, my boss said he wasn't leavin property unless he was dead. next time i just won't tell him and probably load it up after work!!

I trap 99% of the time and have no problem eating a boar after I feed him corn for 2 or 3 weeks...

Why should your boss care about them being dead as long as you are getting rid of them!?!?!?!?!?

I wouldnt eat that boar, maybe a small 40-50 pounder for ham maybe, I kill lots of hogs every week, 99.9% stay where I drop them unless under a feeder, then I drag em off a ways for coyote bait.

That is a pretty big pig. Did the pigs tear up the golf course?

Naw they didn't get to the course just yet. They were on property about a half mile from the course. It wouldn't take them long to find it though and my boss wants em gone before they get out of hand. We all know how quickly that can happen!
