I have been a religious barnes bullets guy and havent really experimented with any other bullets so I dont have a hornady reloading manual and cant find one online jsut to look at. I am loading up some 139 gr sst interlocks for my 7mm STW and have a bunch of RL 17 and RL 22 powder I would like to use. Can anyone give me the coal that these bullets need to be seated to and some powder measurements? Thanks in advance guys you always come through.

If you don't have this by this evening I'll scan the relevant pages of my Hornady manual for you.

1BADMO I got some info but it isnt right. I have compared it with several other manuals and the owder charge is way too low compared to other bullets of the same weight with the same powder. I loaded up the max from the hornady manual and it is only pushing 3300 fps. comparable bullets of the same weight are running about 7gr more powder and pushing the bullet at around 3600fps which is what I was trying to achieve with the lighter bullet. I am just going to load up loads to their specs and keep an eye out for pressure signs. Thanks for all of the help guys. I will post my result hopefully by the end of the weekend.

I can scan Hornady if you still need it.

The Hornady book contradicts itself. It states the max COL on the Case specs page as 3.600 but seats the bullets out to 3.640 which wont chamber in my rifle very well. I am going to modify a case and use the hornady coal gauge to figure out the right depth.

I wanted to love the Hornady manual more than I can because when you lay it out next to the Lyman manual and some of the powder maker manuals it sometimes feels like they are referencing an entirely different bullet/caliber.. I have found that the powder manufacturer's recommendations seems to be better. Please note: I am very new at this so if someone tells you different please consider my experience relative to theirs.

I am going to modify a case and use the hornady coal gauge to figure out the right depth. Look like they made an error in the manual. Most all there OAL for the specific bullet is over 3.640. I would bet there is an online revision correcting this. I am going to modify a case and use the hornady coal gauge to figure out the right depth.

SAAMI specs show a Max overall legnth as 3.600 inches. http://www.saami.org/specifications_and_information/index.cfm?page=CCI also checked my reloads that function well in my 7mmSTW Remington 700 with a detachable magizine loaded with 160gr partitions and they are 3.580. I actually setteled on that legnth for reliable functioning in my rifle.
