I seem to have lost my choke-tube case with my factory chokes, so now all I have is my MOD. Can anyone suggest a good patterning combo for my Mossy-835 Ulti-Mag? And by this I am asking for you guys that own this weapon to post what you feel is the best patterning choke/ammo combo.

I just inherited the same gun. I bought a Primos tightwad cheap of this forum.. Hopefully it will patern decent.. if not will prob move to the jellyhead.

We have 3 835's. One of the older guns likes the older undertaker (without the ports) and Federal #5's 60+ pellets in head and neck at 40 yds. It does shoot high though. Aim at the head and the biggest part of the patteren will be in the middle of neck. The other 2, 1 new one(last year short barrel) and 1 older one both like the Mossberg ULTI-Full turkey tube. Both will put over 60 pellets in the head and neck shooting Winchester Surpremes #6's at 40 yds.. Both shoot dead on you aim at the neck at 40 and you are going to hit him in the neck. We have not had any luck with the new Under Taker( the one that is ported) none of our guns like them. The 2 older guns both have 28" barrel and the new one has a 24" barrel.
