I thought I was pretty awesome when I pulled that off in a half hour or so.
That guy takes it to a whole 'nuther level!
I use a Sawzall for the same thing he uses that hand saw for. I'll go ahead and quarter it out after washing it and getting it gutted like that.

I could do it that fast, if that was my full time job. This guy probably cleans 400 deer per year.

My computer must be running slow... I got bored watching him.
And yes I can gut one that fast... here's how I do it.
"Hey SCOTT, (my nephew) gut that deer for me." and I'm done, just that quick!

If you get a rythm to it and have the right equipment its no problem; Notice the skinning rack he had that lifts the deer and keeps it from swinging around.
Good bone saw and a pair of cut proof gloves definatly helps.
I remember one evening hunt in Oklahoma on a DMAP property where my self and 3 other people shot 12 deer and 3 hogs, and only hand one skinning lift; we had them all loaded up, tagged, gutted, quarterd and jaw bones removed before 11pm.

Ok I've watched this several times now, it "seems" like it takes him a long time watching it, but he is really fast. No. I could neither skin OR gut a deer, in that amount of time.
I spend more time trying to keep from messing up around the bladder ect... which HE doesen't seem to mess with at all...
It looks like that's just a good high quality bone saw in the hands of a person who knows how to use to. Notice he uses the complete length of the saw blade.
I'm gonna watch it a few more times and see if I can impress the guys at the lease next season!

That is why I dont like body shots, all that red goo, and it saves time not needing a saw to cut the head off.
Suprised he didnt cut more guts with the saw like that.
It's hell eatin em live

Most meat cutting knives that will work like that cost $20ish dollars and the bone saw is a standard that you can pick up for $40ish. Just goes to show you how a couple of simple tools is really all you need....and a game hoist that doesnt let them swing and spin around

Did ya notice the knife? It's a fillet knife. One of the best blades for skinning. Anybody need a fillet knife?

The knife and saw are both great, but I think it's more the fact that he's probably done that about 6000 times in the last 10 years. It's all about repitition.
