Ruger LCP. Fits right in my back pocket.

I used to think that question was specific enough. But after carrying now, I think you need to be more specific in what you are personally needing.
Are you looking for a pocket gun? If so I think the PM9's and small framed revolvers are the best choice. Are you going to carrying in the waist and wanting higher capacity? If so something like a Glock 19, which I have, or 23 or something along those lines is the best choice.
Sometimes I'll carry my full size 1911 because it makes me feel powerful and it's cold enough where I can wear enough close to hide it.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

If you use the search function you can pull up a multitude of threads covering this subject in an instant. It gets brought up almost weekly so it'll save you time waiting for answers.

I put my Glock 27 on my ankle most days, or IWB others. Just got a Taurus 738 (don't really know why), but after running 200 through it this weekend of various ammo, it will go in my pocket during the summer/quick trips to the store...

The best buy on a new gun is the Sig 2022 for $399 at Academy. I carry a Sig 225 Swiss Police model. Single stack magazine makes for a slim grip.
I go to Bone Daddy's for the burgers....yeah, that's why.

The smaller the gun, the bigger the man. Over under derringer style or snub nose 5 shot.
She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

first off don't carry a gun you cant shoot. Sure 45acp means business but I will take 5 hits with a 9mm then 9 misses with a 45.
Second you want carry gun that is not comfortable or easy to carry. I have not problem concealing a full size 1911. How often do use for for CC, never, thing ways a ton to me on my belt and i have to carry enough crap with me as it is.
Dont get drawn in to the folk lore of shoot outs at the OK Corral and think that you will need an STI 2011 with 3 extra mags. They are great guns and I plan to own one but for CC I would have to leave it at the home. Me depending on the day carry like this My EDC is a small pocket 380 my casual go to dinner and a movie is a Karh CW40 or Sig225 My i dont want to be in this part of town or out of town trip 226. this it not my moto but interesting thought that a shooting instructor told me. " With a large majority of "gun fights" taking place with under 6 shots exchanged, and the highest rate of gun malfunctions happening at reloads, I say it is not worth carrying and extra mag your best bet is Regun.
SIG.........Classic or plastic?

I believe a Lightweight revolver would be your best bet> (aluminum frame type) Reason 1- Concealability Reason 2- Practice with 38 special/ carry with 357 Reason 3- You will be more surprised about the conflict going on than "it sure didnt feel that way at the range" Reason 4- Fancy crowded sights arent needed unless you are shooting something 50 ft away (in that case why are you shooting?) Reason 5- Revolvers very very very rarely ever jam
BUT MOST OF ALL-Practice with the gun you carry or it will be useless,
