Considerations:

How they decoy, how they taste, elusiveness, rarity, size, apperance...

What's your favorite all around duck?

I wish I could pick more than one, but when I really think about it I get more satisfaction outta a nice sprig probably more than anything else. Mallard and Can are up there at a close second though.

Had to pick teal. They are good looking, fun to shoot, great to eat, and you can usually count on them to decoy. Now if presented with a shot where I had to choose to shoot a teal or a greenhead, pintail, canvasback, or widgeon...I would take the latter. Gotta love those little jet fighters though.

That's cool.

You shot a pintail with an antenna on it?

My youngest Son Did. We needed one duck and this hen pintail comes by. I told him, It I can turn her take the shot. He did. They sent him a map of where all the bird had been tracked. It flew from the Texas panhandle to Nebraska. Then from there to the center of Sask.. Then the transmitter went out. Has reward on the back with the contact info. The guy said their study was over and we could keep the transmitter.

I like the gaddies, they are so dumb and easy to pick off and there are so many of them.

The radio tracking harvest is cool.

I picked Woodduck. That is about the only kind of duck we see in any numbers where I grewup in Mississippi and is atill bt far the most common duck around there. Beautiful birds and good eating

This is true. Mallards are where it is at. I just chose teal, because they can change a skunk into a bbq.

Give me a limit of GWT any day of the week. I shot more ducks last season than I ever have, and I probably appreciated GWT limits more than any because 1) they are so easy to clean, 2) easy to carry on long walk- ins, and 3) they are for sure the best tasting duck!!

But a limit of greenheads on public is my ultimate challenge, but that is just me!!

I picked pintail because they are gorgeous and fun to work with a whistle. But dang, those little dodgy green wings are a blast to shoot and great to eat............

Somebody be'n funny with the ringer vote, but redheads are cool ducks in my book. I guess if you shoot redheads all the time, I have only shot a few. I thought they all tasted pretty good the ones I shot, like puddle ducks, and man in full color they are cool! Next nice one I shoot is going on the wall, I’m wishing I got this one mounted..
