Well, not exactly sure what this model looks like off the top of my head but if it is like the 870 I had with the HUGE comb on the stock then I would say no. I would not get it. That 870 was unshootable because I could not get my face down far enough to line the sights up.

FYI..Remington offers the 870 Shur-Shot with a red dot scope already attached. Less than $700.00

I am glad I went to Cabela's BEFORE I dropped 700 dollars for the Remington 11-87. Cabela's gave me 200 dollars trade in for my 18 year old mossberg 9200 and I found a Remington 870 super mag at the gun counter for $529 dollars. same gum just the pump insteand of the auto. I picked up the 870 plus a new truglo gobbler stopper red dot scope AND the matching gobbler stopper ported choke tube and walked out the door for $469 dollars for all of it! I will miss the old mossberg auto and the fond memories of killing my first bird with it 16 years ago down in Tom Green county but it was time to retire it and I am very excited about my new Remington.....

Nice set-up.
Let us know how it patterns. The Hevi-Shot Magnum blends have been tremendous out of the 870, albeit with a different choke (Jellyhead), but you should see similar patterns as well.

My 870 Shurshot would not pattern Hevi-Shot at all with a Jellyhead. At 30 yards would put about 10-15 pellets in the head. Same set up with Winchester Supremes (I think) covered the head.
Let us know what works for you.
