For $100 whats the best scope?
For $200 whats the best scope?
For $300 whats the best scope?
For $500 whats the best scope?
For $750 whats the best scope?
For $1000 whats the best scope?
For more than $1000 whats the best?
Obviously there are special scopes for special jobs but what would you say fit into these popular criteria price points?

I'm slowly becoming a real fan of the new Redfield Revolution's for an under $200 "Budget" scope.

Tasco. No other brand needs mentioning. Tascos are complete junk, I prefer the Daisy air-rifle scopes from Wal-Mart. Their quality, hardiness, and value are hard to beat.

1000 and plus Swarovski, Schmidt and Bender are my choices. I'd throw Kahles, Nightforce, USO, Premier Heritage and IOR in the mix x2 on the Nightforce. USO is nice but I'm not sure if its worth it. At a certain point the naked eye will not be able to tell the difference. What you are paying for are the turrit designs, reticles, and available options.

I went ahead and ordered an NCStar mark III 6-24x50 illuminated rangefinder scope and it looks great and has plenty of features for what I need it to do. Best part is I only paid 70 for it. I do have to admit the open-turret adjustment is a nice change from having to use a coin to sight it in the field and having to worry about losing the covers.
