I guess I see zebra as a wild animal and I just don't connect to it like most people do to a horse. A horse I see as a tool for ranching and a friend. A zebra I see as wild game. I haven't shot one but ate a little of a backstrap once while in Africa. I doesn't have a smell like a rotting corpse being pulled out of a enclosure. But then any animal that has been dead for a few hours is going to have a smell. It didn't have much of a smell at all or any more than what any other animal such as it did. I tried the meat but its not likely to be on my list of favorites.

Bears, cats, zebras, elephants, rhinos, hippos. I'd actually shoot any of them in self defense, but just don't consider them Game animals. just my .02

Hunting is more to me than Antlers on the wall. It's more about the memories you make, and sharing those memories with friends, and family.

After eating some moose last week, I would not drive very far to shoot one of them.

I would give up beef forever if I could get Moose all the time. Best meat I ever did eat! In fact I would take moose over any game I have eaten thus far.

I'll second that thought. As far as eatin preferences go as it pertains to wild game, my list goes like this, and this is from favorite to least favorite.
1. Moose.
2. Elk / Buffalo ( yeah, I know, it is hard to consider Buffalo as a game animal.
3. Pronghorn/Cotton-tail.
4. Mule Deer/Javelina/Feral Hog.
5. White-tail/Caribou/Jackrabbit.
The big problem everyone has besides personal tastes, is that even though there are a lot of good cooks out there, not everybody can cook everything good.

I will be more than happy to come to your house and get it. As I posted on another topic, I have my name in the pot for any available Moose tag, male or female, in Maine, New hampshire, and Vermont. I really would like to go back to Newfoundland, but wouldn't mind trying Alberta, if I could just figure out which outfitter.

All you have to do to cook moose good is toss it in the crock pot with some lipton onion soup mix and let it cook until the smell is so good ya can't wait no longer!!
