 My first pig!!

The first night we stalked within 75 yards of a group of hogs and I missed. We stalked a second time 75 yards from a group of about 25 nice 250-300lb hogs and I missed the first one that was still and missed 8 more times  We didn't find any more hogs that night but my dad shot a nice #150 boar. The next night we stalked 100 yards from a nice boar I put a nice shoulder shot and we recovered him about 50 yards away. We drove around for a while without finding any hogs and we decided to check one more field before we went in and there was a group of about thirty hogs and we got about 100 yards from them and I picked the biggest in the group and bam dropped her. The hogs had no idea where we were and several came straight towards us. I picked one out that was running straight towards us and dropped her with a headshot. Then our guide shot one. Then about 1,000 yards away we see 3 HUGE that weren't with our group my dad honestly thought they were buffalo!! We had an awesome time and I will post pics when photobucket will work for me.

Nice Job!!! A straight on head shot is a very hard shot and even harder to drop a pig with as the angle of their head is so severe.
If you're in Washington Co., you're lucky! That place is PACKED with hogs due to the river!

If you're in Washington Co., you're lucky! That place is PACKED with hogs due to the river! We actuelly were hunting in Burlington near cameron. We do have lots of hogs here though.

The hogs had no idea where we were and several came straight towards us. That elevates the intensity pretty quickly.
