i have a browning a-bolt 30-06 stainless stalker. i am thinking about selling it and getting into another remington sps 700 tactical 20". I will use it for hunting deer and hogs around east texas. the farthest i ever shoot is like 300yrs and that is far and inbetween. usually it is 100-200 range. what is yall opinion on changeing over?
or if anyone has a sps tactical thats tweeked up that might want to trade let me know. i have a ziuss 4.5x16x48 (something close like that )scope on it. not sure on rings. i would add for right trade.

I don't like 3006 and I dont care for browning, trade
But by the books, sps is a lesser value

I guess the big question is WHY do you want to get away from the browning?

i know the sps are cheaper in value. but i would like to find one someone has already done some work with, or someone who would add a little cash. my old sps was a sweet shooter. i love the browning, but the 20" barrel was alot easier to manuver in my 4x4 stands and to keep in truck.

i agree. i have missed my sps since i sold it though and have never really fell in love with my browning. i think i will put it for sale and try to find a sps. thanks

youre going to sell the browning and take a loss to buy a lesser priced rifle. The two should wash
The lesser priced rifle I like better due to heavy barrel, 20in, and stupid accurate. I guanrantee that browning is not as accurate

I just picked up my SPS Tactical a few weeks ago. This thing really has surprised me with its accuracy. I have had a few 30-06's thru the years, and I would not think twice about trading them off for another SPS tac. They would be gone in a sec. My tac will be my new deer/hog/truck rifle over my high end 700's.
