Are there any public hunting spots along the Trinity? I live in Gainesville were the Elm fork of the trinity runs. Most of it is private farm land but I hear it is ate up with hogs around lake Ray Roberts. What part of the river do you hunt?

What people in east Tx call "Deep river", an area where Houston, Leon and Madison counties meet. All private land that we hunt on, the only public land I know of on the Trinty is the lower delta around Anahuac.

Yea, ANVIS-9 goggles, D760 Gen-3 Scopes on AR-10's, a few more AR-10's with Thermal Weapon Sights, all suppresed .308's. They run, but they only die tired.
One group, 8 hogs, two shooters, one made it to the woods with perferations.

My understanding is that there are opportunities in the Ray Roberts area, but I believe it's an archery only affair. Need to confirm that - it's more or less in my backyard too.
Klongone and his compadres are hard on the piggies - what you see here is just the tip of the pig iceberg. The buzzards and critters in their neck of the woods love these guys.
