i have a good young pit pup that i want to hog train. an my brothers have a couple beast size pit pups to train as well. just wondering what the best way to do it is ? i have seen alot of dog training but wondering what yall do that works the best. our pups are young an obey very well so dont think i will have a hard time with them. any info i will be greatful thank you .

wait until they are about a year or so. you can do it younger, but why rush it. The number one thing is that you do not want that pup to get whipped by a hog, so it is beneficial for the dog to be physically and mentally developed enough to handle it. If they are close to a year ( say 10-12 months)or older let them catch a shoat and get them catching where you want, usually ear, some people don't mind ear or jaw. When you take them hunting let an older, experienced dog catch first then send the pup when the older dog has the hog under control. once he has done that a few times and you think he's ready, send the pup first with the old dog for backup. When he has that down he's ready to go solo on hogs that you can see aren't going to beat him down. If they are too young to start now keep working obedience and leading and let them ride four wheelers or how ever you are planning to hunt them. Make sure they are socialized with people and other dogs. If they can't get along with other dogs they will never make a catch dog.

I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE THE BEST METHOD IS TO TRAIN WITH OTHER EXPERIENCED DOGS

Let them get some age and size on em first. You should also give em time for their teeth to develop. You don't want to send a young pup into the fight of his life and have him break his fangs. Socializing is very important too as stated above. If he goes straight for your bay dogs instead of the hog,you're gonna have problems.
